Kolby watched as the dog followed Andee around like he was her pet. He was lovable, they both were. He didn’t care where she sat as long as she didn’t sit in any grease of oil, hopefully not getting her jeans dirty. He could wash any grease out of clothes, it was like his own amazingness. He shook his head as his hands put a black socket on the gun and hooked up an air line. He had no issue with her, he could tell her self esteem was low and couldn’t figure out why but he could tell she felt more comfortable with Chewy than him. Smiling he said nothing, turning on the air compressor and zipping off each tire and setting them under the car. He inspected the tires and took the tire in the worst shape to his tire machine. The machine made a lot of noise when he popped the tires off the two rims. He easily put them both on again pushing air quickly into each tire with a loud bang as the tire pressed up tight against the rim. It would have scared any normal dog and been very loud to sensitive ears. Those people who weren’t used to random loud popping noising that might just leave your ears ringing, like a balloon popping but twenty times louder.
He then put each tire on a different machine, spinning each around and hammering metal weights to certain spots on each rim. Kolby put each tire on the front of the car. He zipped them back on and then put the remaining two on the back. He tried making small talk wither as he worked over the loud noise but it didn’t take long for him to do all of this, about five minutes a tire which was like record time. He made sure none of the tires was loose before lowering the car to the ground, leaving most of the weight of the car on the hoist. Grabbing a long ratchet he seemed to tighten each tire again, the odd ratchet beeped at him and he stopped. High tech torque wrench if he’d ever see one, that tool alone was probably a thousand dollars alone. A mechanic had to have the right tools and the expensive ones were sometimes just the best. He lowered the car right tot he ground and kicked out each bar. He got back into the Mustang and backed it out of the shop, parking it behind his Subaru in the alley he closed the windows and locked the doors.
Handing her back her keys he smiled. ”Let’s go inside and hopefully order some food eh? I’d say I could cook, but well, no.” Kolby laughed as he shut off the air compressor and hoped that was a decent enough place to park. Well it had to be. He shut the two large bay doors as they slowly came quietly to the ground with a whistle almost sealing the garage air tight. He took a step towards the door behind Andee, ”I don’t have any back lights on so if you can’t see grab onto Chewy or me.” He hoped he didn’t sound like a complete creep. Laughing a bit to himself as he stepped to the door holding his hands over the light switch waiting for her and we would lead the way. Chewy took a couple steps towards Kolby then stopped and looked back at Andee. When she followed he turned off the lights and shut the door behind her. Hoping she had no issues with the dark as the dog stayed near her and Kolby didn’t stray far.
