Kenzie Marie was awake at eight am. Not a minute before and not a minute later, eight it was and seven was when she was planning on getting her princess outfit. Daddy had promised if she was good the whole week, while he was busy doing things for work she would get to pick out some clothes at the mall. Today was his day off and she was determined to get the man out of bed, dressed and with a money card in his hand by at most ten. She came running in with her footy pajamas and her hair in pigtails, she jumped, practically flying from the doorway onto the lump of man under the covers. "OOF!" Jakkson let out a huffy breath, rolling, pulling the little girl onto the bed and from his body. "five more minutes" he mumbled into the pillow. The little girl glared at him and wiggled his shoulder. "Nuh uh. Daddy. UP." she demanded. She shook his arm harder, basically as hard as the six year old could. "Princess outfit! and breakfast!" She rolled the covers back, pulling them off of him. He pulled his legs into a ball. He rolled over, racing the other direction. "DADDY" she shrieked. He grabbed the pillow and wacked her with it, before covering his head. She giggled and began to pounce."BREAKFAST. PRINCESS DRESS....PRONTO." Jakkson huffed a breath and sat up. "You realize you're a brat right?" she giggled, nodding her head. "S'mores poptarts!!" he glared and shook his head automatically. "Those are only if we're in a hurry and you know it. Real breakfast." Jakk climbed out of bed and headed to his walk in closet, looking around past the suit jackets and such to the t-shirts and pulled down a light green one that would compliment the small bits of green in his tealy-blue eyes. of course, he didn't think of that as he took it from his closet. he grabbed a pair of cargo shorts and flipflops from the shoe rack before exiting and heading to the shower. "Gimme ten minutes, I'll be downstairs to fix breakfast and get you ready." ---- It took a some time, a lot of hassling, but the two finally made it out with fruit smoothies, and a hearty breakfast in their stomachs, fully dressed. Kenzie in a bright yellow and black tye-dye dress she insisted on and a pair of black flip-flops. At about eleven the two were out the door, in the car and headed to the mall. They arrived, got an easy parking space near the front considering what time it was and the two were inside in a matter of minutes. "Where to first?" she asked. Jakk looked both directions. "Let's start down there and work our way forward, then upstairs." he said taking her hand in his and walking to the end of the hallway past a few elderly couples. Early morning mall trips meant no hassling with young arrogant teenagers or trouble making adults. It was usually kids, and elderly people there to shop at this hour, they spotted a Limited Too and Kenzie's eyes lit up as she dragged her daddy inside. After looking around for a while they left that store with four different outfits in bags and were headed to the next shop. Macys was next and she grinned seeing a wall of Disney princesses above the merchandise. Kenzie's outfit: clickTag:Clarisse Notes:I hope this is sufficient.

It wasn't even noon yet, and already, Clarisse was feeling tired. It was hardly a mystery why, of course. She'd been up until three thirty in the morning editing a last-minute transcript for a fellow student that had been trying desperately to get published, and of course, she couldn't say no. Unfortunately, staying up late didn't mean sleeping in late for her. She was up at six-thirty sharp, just like every other day. Shower, get dressed, make breakfast for herself and Charlie (and, of course, a bit extra just in case Sam stopped by as well, which happened more often than not), brush teeth, do whatever else was needed for the day. Today, that had included a hair appointment at nine AM to get her hair re-dyed, something she tried to do at least once every four weeks; one of her pet peeves was roots showing. Finding herself with ever-elusive spare time after that, she'd gone straight to the mall, and once there, directly into Victoria's Secret. For someone so professional (and a virgin, at that), Claire was surprisingly up-to-date in terms of lingerie. No one could actually see it, of course, but it was like a secret self-confidence boost. After all, she was female, and even if just for her own sake, it was nice to feel sexy. Before Claire could go anywhere else, she quickly realized, she needed coffee. A lot of it. Even just standing in line at the Seattle's Best seemed to drag on to the point where she wondered if she ought to sit down and wait (an idea she quickly dismissed, as she was certain she'd fall asleep). However, ten minutes and half a cup of coffee later, she felt her mind clear up and her energy replenish itself, at least temporarily. Beaming with success, she picked up her bad and stood up, debating which store she should go to next. The GAP was always a fool-proof plan, but then again, she could spend hours in there. She needed a new swimsuit, too, but Pac Sun was on the other side of the mall... A quick scan around, and she easily made a decision: Macy's. A dress or two wouldn't hurt, nor would a few pairs of jeans and a new eyeshadow brush. It took her several minutes to actually get over there. The crowd was less than helpful; there must've been some sort of sale going on, she figured, in one of the major stores. In general, she made a point to avoid the crowd; unlike her sisters, she hadn't inherited a wonderful gift of height. But there was something about being tossed and tucked about and the bustle of the place that was oddly appealing today. The heels were making transportation a bit difficult, but nothing she hadn't done before. Claire wasn't an especially clumsy person, which she hoped would mean that she would avoid falling on her ass in front of so many people (who may or may not decide to stop instead of running her over). Ahead of her, she noticed an especially cute little girl and couldn't help but smile. She had a soft spot - no, more than a soft spot, an adoration complex - for children, and she was even better than most, with freckles specking the bridge of her nose and upper cheeks. Curiously, she turned to look at her chaperon, and was surprised to see Jakkson Archer. She didn't know him personally, of course, but any woman in the area would recognize him - the guy from TV, the one they all fantasized about. Of course, she was contemplating her surprise so deeply that she didn't notice when the crowd shifted, and she abruptly smacked into his back. tag, jakkson archer outfit, here!notes, rambled a lot. sorry. xD

As jakk skimmed through pink children's clothes he watched Kenz from the corner of his eyes, seeing how far she'd wonder from him before he'd have to call her back. She stayed within a decent distance but never traveled out of site so he didn't say anything. He looked at some of the price tags and took a breath of relief kids clothes was so much cheaper than adult clothes, it was refreshing that he could spoil her for now. He inched closer to her, feeling more comfortable if she was nearer, as he did a body touched his, with a hard smack, colliding directly into him. It surprised him, but she was the one about to stumble and fall on her backside. He reached out with a quick spin and reeled her in with a hand on her hip and one taking her arm.when perfectly upright he let go of her and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Sorry, geez are you alright?" His bright blue green eyes glanced over the woman, taking in her features. He hadn't seen her before, if he had he would've remembered her face. The woman was attractive and had stunning golden brown eyes. Kenzie turned hearing her dad's voice and saw the woman standing by him. She skipped over with a few items draped over her arm as she stood by her daddy's side, slightly hiding behind his leg. "Who's the lady daddy?" she asked staring up at her. "I haven't asked yet," he said with a smile. "I'm Jakkson Archer, this is my daughter Ke-" Kenzie stepped out from behind him. "I'm Kenzie, who're you?" She smiled, and crossed her arms, putting the items in her daddy's hand. He took them looking down at her with a raised brow. She was more outgoing than any child her age, at least so he thought. She never followed the "Don't talk to stangers" thing. She had asked her dad how it was fair that he talked to strangers every day on TV, and she couldn't. Considering he really didn't have much of an answer, he decided she was right and talking to strangers was ok..as long as he was right there with her. Kenzie looked like a guard dog standing in front of her daddy protectively, if she wasn't good enough for her dad in HER opinion she wouldn't be allowed past and daddy couldn't associate with her. Jakkson ruffled her hair and moved her to his side looking at the woman before him. He thought it rude to stand there staring, but she was extremely pretty and he hadn't actually gotten to talk to anyone other than clients and Kenzie in a while.Perhaps for being in her way he could bu her a slush from the food court or something. He was almost 100% sure that the foodcourt was directly above them, and if they went up, kenz would want a slushie or something and he was most likely going to get it for her anyways, so why not make it three instead of just two? At t first, the shock didn't even register in her mind. She had yet to even process what she had run into, and was running several second behind in terms of what had happened since then. By the time she had her mind wrapped around the fact that she was falling, there was suddenly an arm around her hip and grasping her own arm, keeping her up. Of course, by the time she realized that, she was forced to recognize that it was a person she'd bumped into, and once she'd grasped that particular part, it all seemed to go at normal speed. She'd bumped into Jakkson Archer. Of course. Her cheeks heated into a very unnatural shade of pink that could be taken as nothing other than embarrassment - it even seemed to reach the tips of her ears, though they were hidden (thankfully) by her hair. She watched his hands go into his pockets and took a few more moments to work up enough nerve (when embarrassed, she became severely lacking in that department) to look at him in the face. Claire was surprised to find that he was even more attractive in person than on TV; a fact that most other girls would doubt if only because there was a hell of a lot to live up to. It didn't take long for her to realize he was speaking to her, and she immediately turned her attention to listening to him. It came horribly close to the point where Claire would make a fool of herself in terms of responding to his question of if she was all right (the answer her mind was emphasizing was something along the lines of "more than all right!"), but she managed to compose herself even in the face of the bright eyes that looked back at her. "Yes, I'm fine, thanks," she said with a smile, suddenly nervous as she thought about what else she could say. It was very unlike her, she acknowledged, to be nervous about anything; she was generally the maternal, confident, all-around capable woman that took whatever life threw at her with grace and charm. Luckily, however, she didn't have to brood about the fact much longer, nor put any thought towards what she would say next - the little girl helped with that. Her smile turned more to a grin as Kenzie spoke, the result of both her voice and at being referred to as "the lady." The child was spunky, that much she could see already, and she had to admire it. When she cut her father off, Clarisse chuckled softly, and upon having her identity questioned, she squatted down so that she could see eye-to-eye with her. "Clarisse Delaney," she introduced herself, grinning back up at Jakkson to let him know that the information was for him as well. "Nice to meet you." She held out a hand for her to shake. Marvelling was unable to be helped in a situation like this. It was remarkable to her that a father and daughter could both be so attractive, and look so much alike without one looking like the opposite gender. And didn't they say that beautiful parents made ugly children? Statistics clearly didn't apply here unless Kenzie was adopted, which, judging by their similar facial features, wasn't the case. She found herself a bit surprised, not having known that Jakkson Archer had a child in the first place, and suddenly her mind went to wondering where the mother was. When he'd kept her from falling, she hadn't noticed a ring, nor had she on the television. Did that mean there wasn't one, or just that they weren't married? Or maybe they didn't believe in rings? tag, jakkson archer outfit, here!notes, sucky, sorry. xP
